Thank to the support of users including you, ChinaUsLaw.org has been steadily growing in the past 15 months. Currently receiving a daily average of 20,000 hits from US, China and other countries, our website is one of the top results returned by popular search engines including Yahoo, Google, Baidu and Sogou using relevant keywords. As a result, our old web server was unable to afford the rocketing traffic and its 5GB monthly limit was soon exhausted. We have upgraded our server with tens times greater capacity to keep serving the public.

Some users suggested we utilize our chat rooms more efficiently. Chinese users are looking for a place to talk in English. However, because people enter chat rooms at different time, they cannot gather together. Starting from 10/22, for the convenience of users from US and China, we are sponsoring an "Online Legal English Corner" in our chat rooms every Saturday evening 9:00-11:00 EST (Beijing Time Sunday morning 10:00-12:00). We will periodically invite US/China legal experts to join the chat as a guest. Look forward to meeting you there.

To encourage our users to create their own blogs in our Law Blog section, we will give active bloggers a free subdomain (**.chinauslaw.com) and a free email account (**@chinauslaw.com, no ads attached to outgoing messages). To better reflect the non-profit nature of our website, i.e., serving US/China law professionals and general public as an international legal resource and online community, we have started using ChinaUSLaw.org as our new domain name. Please update your bookmark.

We have upgraded our website. It now has more unique features and useful functions! We integrated English and Simplified/Traditional Chinese versions to be a single system so that members can use one account to access all language versions. We used new encoding so nearly all languages in the world can be displayed in same page without any add-on software, which makes it a real international site. We also added some new functions, such as Law Blogs (where members can create and manage their own blogs) and Law Calendar (where you can browse and submit past and upcoming law activities). As there is tremendous need for Chinese lawyers to practice legal English language, we setup a new forum Legal English Club in response to our visitors' suggestions. The more we practice, the greater progress we will make. Together, we will make a difference.
